Does the Government have seeds hidden for the end of the world?

My brother watches tv and believes everything he sees. Not only does he believe what he sees but he gets his facts mixed up. He said he saw on tv that the government spent millions of dollars on seeds that are hidden as we speak and he thinks the end of the world will be in December of 2012. I am not a master debater so how about some facts to prove he is full of tae.
