I just wrote a poem, I would like to see what you think of it and where I can submit for a contest?

I'm not really a fan of poetry, but I understand about it and what makes a good poem. You have to have a lot of symbolism, a lot of useless words that don't make sence, and they never talk directly about anything. Going by that, what you wrote is way to direct, doesn't have a lot of flowery words, and not a lot of symbolism and would probably be considered a meager attempt at poetry. Don't take offense, like I said, I'm not a fan of poetry. If you do wish to go by the "rules of poetry" though, you definately should re-write it.
