Can this be Melanoma?

I have a big mole on my leg and it is light black. The border of my mole is only a LITTLE irregular. Its not harsh like those pictures of melanoma on google. It doesn't change colors or anything though. Can this be Melanoma? I'm scared. I will probably get the mole checked but I just need to know if you guys think its Melanoma. I'm scared. Btw I am 12. I remember my mom telling me I had this mole since a child.I think it's a birthmark. It grew bigger as I aged. Please help and thanks so much! :[
