How to turn my car into a tuner car?

I have a 1996 Mazda Mx-6. It is a 2.5L V6 5 speed. I want to get some sort of rims, an exhaust, a body kit, intake, and a good sound system. i know a little about cars but not enough to know all of the brands and what type of things are best. any suggestions on how to make it nice? also maybe some darker headlights and taillights? And how much is it all gonna cost? thanks
