Is Cena's injury a work?

Think about it. The WWE writes themselves into a corner having John Cena, aka The Son of Superman, beat every credible wrestler in pro wrestling, save the Undertaker. They don't want to drop it to Orton cleanly, so what do they do? Have Cena get injured and vacate the title. It keeps Cena in the title hunt whenever he comes back, and the WWE gets storyline continuity. What do you think?
